A Creative Exercise by Michael Corthell

Love is THE positive.

By Michael Corthell

While I was researching an article, I started to think about creative thinking, and then I started thinking about some of the questions that I would ask in an interview about the subject. Questions that would help show the creative leanings of the interviewee. Below is what I came up with and like any good 'scientist' I tested it on myself, which can be very dangerous or telling, in this case.

After you read my answers you will indeed, know me. But, just let me say that it has taken nearly 65 years to form the man that is now Michael Corthell and I still have a long way to go. (and a relatively short time to get there)

What angers you? Hate, discrimination, deception, abuse, slavery, theft, mistreatment of any kind toward any human being or any living thing.

What makes you cry? Beauty, people who overcome great odds to achieve great things for others' benefit, a song sung beautifully (especially my wife's singing), the good and evil illustrated in The Sound of Music, the abuse of any human being, great love between two people, the loss of life, or its purpose or meaning, when I am very kindly treated by someone, especially a loved one, inspiring stories (Abraham Lincoln, Mother Teresa, Dr. Peter Marshall, Anne Frank et al).

What have you mastered (or almost mastered)? Building with wood, informational writing, religious philosophy, fatherhood, keeping house, being a (good) husband and friend, marketing, sales, being self-motivated.

What did you want to be when you grew up? A pastor, a soldier, an actor, a writer, a medical doctor(surgeon), a businessman.

What change would you like to see in the world? Optimal health and happiness for humanity, Optimal functioning health for our planet and all living things.

What would really excite you (blow your mind)? A positive mindset sweeps the world, e.g people suddenly understand what kindness compassion and freedom actually mean and make every effort to facilitate those virtues and share them. 'We are not alone' is confirmed and not only that, biblical angels are alien, sentient beings who travel in space (they do have 'wings') and are the messengers of God.(some humans fill that role also, I believe)

If you had all the time and money in the world, what would you do, where would you go? As for unlimited money I would fully staff and fund The Center of Positive Thought and quickly teach the world to sing, ''I am Positive, Always.'' I would, if my wife agreed, travel to and visit as many places on Earth as possible. I would fully fund all education programs, especially whole health, nutrition and wellness. Fully fund and promote positive farming. I would fund unlimited clean energy projects and transportation systems, including space travel.

If you had one day left to live, how would you spend it?  Speak with my wife and children. Write a story. Take some interesting photos. Cook some good food. Pray. Go to sleep and 'wake up'.

Now, it's your turn...
