President Trump GOES TO JAIL? 'Go directly to Jail. Do not pass Go. Do not collect $200' by Mike Corthell

Monopoly: the exclusive possession or control of the supply or trade in a commodity or service. Also a board game in which players engage in simulated property and financial dealings using imitation money. It was invented in the US and the name was coined by Charles Darrow circa 1935.

Donald J. Trump at this writing is president-elect of the United States. He went all the way, he 'went for broke' (not really) and won. But what did he win? He certainly didn't win any freedom for himself. But maybe for the world. I'll explain that statement in a minute.

Throughout his atypical and very contentious presidential campaign he often threatened to put his opponent, Hillary Clinton, in jail for alleged crimes, if he were to be elected.

During the second debate he said to her, “I hate to say it, but if I win, I am going to instruct my attorney general to get a special prosecutor to look into your situation.” Clinton replied it’s “awfully good that someone with the temperament of Donald Trump is not in charge of the law in our country.” Trump shot back: “Because you’d be in jail.”

Is this 'in the heat of the campaign' rhetoric? Probably. But who is really going to jail?

All his adult life Mr. Trump has played 'Monopoly' and has played it well. He has built and bought property. He mortgaged and leveraged assets. His companies went bankrupt, he and they recovered. His motto has and always will be, ''caveat emptor'' or "let the buyer beware.'' Whenever he passes ''GO'' he always collects his ''$200.00''. He has never gone to jail playing this game.

There are many kinds of 'jail' or prisons. They can take many forms. (for more information on allegories follow this link:  The Allegory of the Cave)

On January 20, 2017, barring any unforeseen circumstances, Donald John Trump will be come the 45th President of the United States. What that means for the country only time will tell. Some see unmitigated disaster looming on the horizon. Others are over joyed with the prospect of President Trump 'draining the swamp'.

His inauguration is likely to be a very festive and ornate affair with several inaugural balls, peppered with grand, soaring speeches. It will be a whirlwind day. It will go by for him as a blur. A blurring of reality that will only come into focus when his head meets his presidential seal embroidered pillow. Will he say, before drifting off, ''My God, what have I done?'' Perhaps, but it is likely it will take some time before that realization sets in.

This writer remembers the psychology and sociology of the original 'Star Trek' very well. There is one episode concerning the engagement of Mr. Spock and his promised bride. She has no interest in Spock. He's out gallivanting across the galaxy with Kirk & Co. Spock goes to Vulcan to fulfill his duty to his betrothed and discovers his future wife's infidelity. His simple remark? ''After a time, you may find that having is not so pleasing a thing after all as wanting. It is not logical, but is often true.''

''Caught! Trapped in ''a 'lake' of fire'', does President-elect Donald Trump realize that he has been had? Caught with his leg in the door? Contained? If he does, does he care? Who does care? Will it be all for the best? Will it be good, according to God's plan?"

Donald J. Trump will also find this to be true. When this immature, misogynic man takes the oath of office he will be immediately cast into a lake (or as my home landers say, a loch.) Yes, Mr. Trump will be right where we want him: in a jail of his own making. Locked up, possibly for an eternity — an eternity for him at least. A 'lake of fire' that will purify him or ruin him. Either way his ego will be boxed in.

What does this mean for America and the world? Stagnation of the economy? Cultural warfare? Outright global war? No, it will be a wake up call for all good people everywhere. Watching President Trump govern will be like watching The Three Stooges build a skyscraper. We and the world will all see and learn how NOT to govern.

Trump's negative example will inspire the world and spur it toward a great unification. A unification brought about by kindness, mercy and justice. People will see that the United States Constitution was indeed divinely inspired. we will also see and understand that America's poetic nickname, ''Columbia'' (the dove) does mean peace and that America's founding was a great light. The great light of the Holy Spirit.

Do not worry my friends, all will be well.
