Biography

Dr. Kaperick brings a wealth of experience across the spectrum of pediatric care, beginning in primary care and evolving over two decades in Pediatric Hospital Medicine, where she has cared for children with conditions ranging from common childhood illnesses to complex, critically ill cases.

Following her Neuromuscular Pediatrician Fellowship at Children's Wisconsin in 2021, Dr Kaperick became an integral member of the Children's Wisconsin multidisciplinary MDA team providing a wide breadth of services assisting in the care of patients with rare neuromuscular diseases, such as Duchenne's Muscular dystrophy and Spinal Muscular Atrophy. One passion that emanated from this work is understanding the high fracture risk of this population, as well as many other high-risk populations throughout the Neurosciences. Through her independent pursuit of additional education outside of the Neuromuscular fellowship, both locally and around the world, she has gained expertise in the evaluation and management of secondary osteoporosis in children with complex medical needs. Dr Kaperick has expanded her practice to provide bone health evaluations to medical complex patients throughout our Neurosciences clinics with primary goal of prevention and treatment of secondary osteoporosis.
