The APP Adult Multi-Specialty Hospitalist Fellowship is a 12-month training program designed to prepare NPs and PAs to manage complex, acutely ill patients within the academic healthcare system and acute care teams. Through structured education 鈥 including didactics, online learning, simulation, proctored procedures, and mentored clinical practice 鈥 fellows strengthen their clinical decision-making and specialized skills in hospital medicine.

How We Learn

The APP Adult Multi-Specialty Hospitalist Fellowship offers immersive, hands-on training with inpatient medical and surgical teams throughout the academic healthcare system. This program combines diverse clinical rotations with a structured acute-care curriculum focused on building essential hospitalist skills. Fellows also participate in the APP Fellowship Core Professional Curriculum, a collaborative learning experience shared across all fellowship programs, designed to support professional growth and development.

  • Other topics by approval of the APP fellowships program leadership

Education for the APP Adult Multi-Specialty Hospitalist Fellowship program is supported by an APP, physician, and education coordinator leadership team in addition to APP and physician specialists and educators from acute care specialties in the academic healthcare system with hospitalist medical and surgical teams.
